I have pitched and won funding from Arts Council England, and been part of a team of 3 staging a sizeable 'storytelling' event as part of City of Culture 2021. I have a CPD Accredited mini MBA in Marketing, and I'm a certified HeartMath UK coach (though I don't coach others much).
I deliver video projects with the film and documentary maker Sam Smith. I'm part of a couple of collectives (one creative, one strategic) and I like to keep busy with interesting side projects.
The Meanwhile Festival promotes the sequential illustration and graphic narrative as a way to get people creating and reading. It includes grand spectacle (such as live drawings projected onto buildings and graffiti battles) with more intimate experiences (including lectures and workshops from some of the world's best illustrator). It also includes a significant education outreach, to get kids reading, drawing and expressing themselves. The first Meanwhile Festival is planned for 18th & 19th September 2021 in Coventry (this year's City of Culture).

I was proud to be approached by the ex-CRO of IPC to help in a charitable matter - fundraising for the building of a new centre for literacy for primary school aged children in London, too many of whom rarely get the chance to experience the new worlds books create for us.
I wrote this video, working with director Samuel Smith and author/illustrator Tom McLaughlin to produce a calling card for the fundraising initiative - a new centre for literacy for young children, housing around 25,000 books and resources for teachers and literacy professionals.

Investigating Sherlock Holmes will be the definitive book on Conan Doyle's most famous detective and the world in which he existed.
Written and illustrated by Ron Tiner, with over a decade of investigative work and a vast array of reference sources, it's packed with fascinating anecdotes, ephemera.
It will be published by Sheldrake in September 2021.
It wasn't easy continually conceiving print ads for IPC for the various trade press and event/awards publications; the company wasn't really changing or investing so new and exciting messages were hard to arrive at.
But as the UK's biggest consumer publisher, IPC was an incredibly effective way to reach a large number of often underestimated demographics in quite intimate ways, with content that really was expertly crafted and often deliciously fruity.
Retail launch with Tim Cullen, who knows more about flooring than I ever will. I helped with the business plan, branding and web-build, etc. The business was profitable in its first year and credit to Tim it's a thriving little business.
